The SimpoLab project originated in 2019, when a small group of Italian university students began to reunite for (more or less) cultural discussions along with some food, which can be expressed in one word as symposium, plural symposia (simposi(o) in Italian). After the loosing of the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, which of course prevented our symposia, we decided to rent a VPS (Virtual Private Server) where the group, which in the meantime had expanded, could host its projects.
Our intention is to experiment with computer science and technology (and beyond that), while implementing our ideas. Some of them may just be proves of concept, stupid ideas made real just because we can. Our will with the server is to host typical server services, such as SMTP mail, web servers and so on. Most of our projects are public, and sometimes we also write guides or sum ups.
